A rubber seal is a device used to prevent leakage of fluids in mechanical equipment by closing the gap between moving and stationary parts of the equipment. Rubber seals are also used in precision bearings to keep lubricants in the bearings and prevent corrosive moisture from penetrating the bearings. Rubber seals are also known as rubber oil seals or oil seals.
Rubber seals come in different sizes depending on the capacity of the equipment. The seals are suitable for various valves, pipes and other openings where it is necessary to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil. Seals are used to perform two important roles, ie. to keep the oil in place and help lubricate the moving parts of the machine by ensuring that there is no leakage of lubricant. Rubber seals also ensure that harmful contaminants do not allow leak into various parts of the equipment.
